Sam stayed w the neighbors while we were at the hospital

Meet Max - first few hours

Jen woke up at 1am when her water broke. We called our doula Carrie, then the hospital, then our neighbor Margaret. Margaret came over around 1:50 to stay w Sam, we were on the road by 2:10, at the hospital by 2:30, in the delivery room by 3:00am, and max was born at 3:59am.  Holy smokes - Jen was awesome. They transferred us to a recovery room around 5:45.
